Felix Baumgartner Drives a Ford GT

A contract with Red Bull, large sunglasses, bright red car with white stripes – you’d think Felix Baumgartner was a pure-blooded American. But in fact, he’s Austrian.

The 43 year old skydiver and daredevil recently took the world record for skydiving from the largest altitude. He’s also the first person to smash thorough the sound barrier without vehicular power, as he reached Mach 1.24, on 14 October 2012.

To jum out of a balloon at 39,000 meters, you have to have nerves of steel and adrenalin pumping through your systems!

So, can you guess what he drives? This guy is bad to the bone, and was sotted in the US while behind the wheel of a Ford GT, America’s mid-engined two-seater supercar produced between 2005 and 2006. Developed as a tribute to one of the most iconic cars in racing history, the GT40, this modern machine has a mid-mounted 5.4 L Modular V8 engine is all-aluminum with a Lysholm twin screw-type supercharger, and produces 550 hp (558 PS).
