German tuner Hamann today unveiled its latest creation, a customized BMW X6 dubbed Tycoon. As expected, the car incorporates an impressive amount of aftermarket elements, starting with aerodynamic parts and ending with engine performance upgrades.

“As far as the latest project by HAMANN-Motorsport is concerned, the name says it all: the Laupheim-based refiner called its latest creation for BMW X6 TYCOON. This description has its roots in Japanese culture and is originally a synonym for an extraordinary shape - a comparison which can also be transferred to the X6-makeover,” Hamann said in a press statement.

First of all, the tuning company broadened the body by 60 millimeters while remaining focused on aerodynamics. For instance, Hamann added a three-part diffuser to the original apron plus a rear and a roof spoiler mounted on the rear side of the car. “It goes without saying that all used HAMANN-components do not only convince with their design but also with their aerodynamics. They ensure an optimised air flow over the car silhouette and render an additional downthrust,” the German tuner said.

In terms of exterior styling, the Tycoon sports ultra-light forged 23-inch wheels with 315/25 R23 tires. “Special chassis springs fantastically enhance the light alloy wheels. Thereby, progressively coiled springs lower the barycentre of this Sports Utility Vehicle by maximally 40 millimetres at the front- and back axle,” it explained.

The interior is mainly based on high-quality aluminum and fiber elements, such as the pedals and the foot rests. In addition, Hamann installed a new instrument dial with a scaling of up to 300 km/h.

Last but not least, the engines. In short terms, Hamann improved most engine units available in the X6 series. The best example comes from the base petrol engine, xDrive35i, which produced 235 horsepower. The German tuner upgraded it with 76 horsepower, to 360 hp, while the xDrive30d now develops 320 hp from the initial 286 hp output.
