The previous generation of Chrysler 300 was one of the main target of customizing companies that created bespoke cars for rappers, football players and anybody who wanted to roll on 21-inch rims. We really thought things would be different with the new one, which features more elegant lines and less gangster styling, but the Detroit automaker still manages to enter the custom car scene.
One its Facebook page, Chrysler released a full set of photos showing the 2011 Chrysler 300 reincarnated as the FatChance 2.0, which made its debut alongside the company’s ‘S’ concept cars at this past weekend’s Annual Spring Festival of LXs in California.
Chrysler spotted the innate talent of custom car maker John Fortuno (aka Fatchance), who left his mark on the first generation 300 with a similarly named project.
We’ve already established that FatChance 2.0 is an important car, now let’s set out attention to what the final product actually looks like! It offers a clean look with exterior changes including darkened headlamps, a new front grille with a mesh insert, bespoke fog light surround trims, and tinted windows. The body color has been changed to a white one with matching black touches added for the grille surround, mirrors, bumper trims and logos.
The most obvious change is the lowering of the ride height, with the car now sitting lower to the ground on massive 22-inch forged alloy wheels wrapped in Nitto Tires measuring 255/30/22 at the front and 295/25/22 at the back complete.
It’s not much, but when you are making such a product for a major carmaker, you have to play it somewhat safe. Tell us what you think about this project and what would you have liked to be done differently in the comment section below.
