There’s a reason some people, especially older ones, are scared of supercars. An all-wheel drive Audi R8 will let you think that you’re doing 60 when you’re actually hitting 160 km/h, and that might not be such a big problem were it not for the crashing part. No matter how good or advanced your road rocket is, your wife and spoiled children will get everything you owned if you get in a high-speed tangle with a tree or pole.
This latest crash involving the Ferrari 458 Italia took place in the birthplace of the Prancing Horse, Italy, on highway 172, near Taranto. The driver lost control and caused a four-car pileup, which killed himself and two other people. The severe accident saw the Ferrari hitting a stone wall and splitting in two. Since the 57-year old local businessman also injured ten others, we expect Italy will clamp down on road racing in coming days.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
