The Texas Mile event that took place earlier this month brought America a new record, one that pleases bad boys and badass girls: a new Chevrolet Camaro standing mile record.
A fourth-generation Camaro, which comes with a list of tech modifications that’s longer than Texan railroad lines, managed to become the fastest standing mile Camaro in the world, hitting a top speed of 253.1 mph (407/2 km/h).
The monster was built by Late Model Racecraft and is owned by Kelly Bise. The mad Camaro was manhandled by Josh Ledford and you can see the entire feat in the adjacent video. We have to tell you that the clip includes multiple goodies, such as a burnout and in-car footage. Sadly, we don't get to see the parachute being deployed, but this doesn't mean that the video is less fun.
