Everyone knows that drag racing appeared in America in the muscle car era when guys were pulling up side by side in their suited up cars at the stoplight and hit the gas when it turned green.
Japanese guys however had another type of entertainment - drifting on the city outskirts’ twisty roads in the hills. And they stayed kings in powersliding until others started to taste the thrill of going sideways inches away a concrete wall.
But then Japan put out the fourth generation Toyota Supra and drag races between streetlights have changed forever. Even official races on the local strip changed, and you can easily see a V8-powered muscle car getting owned by a Toyota Supra like in this video bellow.
