There must be something magic about wheeling in busy traffic. Otherwise, I sort of fail to understand what drives these fellows to take so many stupid, completely unnecessary risks, despite the odds that have alway been against them.
Frankly, I believe that this is only shallow bravado, or a pathetic attempt to show their peers that they are cooler. Unfortunately, we all know how many of these dumb runs end up with the rider properly becoming the coolest of the group, in a black plastic bag in the city morgue.
The commentary may seem a bit on the funny side but what the guy tells is the plain, common sense truth. Are a guy's health, bike, physical integrity or even life really worth the few seconds of self-righteous so-called fame? To most decent riders, such a question doesn't even need to be asked, but it looks like few others would gladly trade in their well-being for a brief moment of street glory.
Funny thing, we usually don't find these fellows practicing their stunts alongside other real stunters, using prepped bikes, proper protective gear and relentlessly trying their routines time and again until everything works out well. And no, we don't get to see them in stunt competitions, either, because real stunt riders are disciplined sportsmen, and this kind of says everything...
