The weeks of speculation regarding the future of the next Fast and Furious movie have been put to an end today, as the official release date has been announced today. According to Vin Diesel’s Facebook page, Fast and Furious 7 will be released on April 10, 2015.
The movie was originally programmed for July next year, but the sudden death of leading actor Paul Walker, who plays Brian O'Conner, caused Universal Studios to rethink the scripts.

The photo above was posted on Facebook by Vin Diesel, who said: "There was a unique sense of completion, of pride we shared… in the film we were now completing… the magic captured… and, in just how far we’ve come…"

Actor Paul Walker tragically died during a car crash, that took place around 3:30 PM on Hercules Street near Constellation Road in the Rye Canyon Business Park. Investigators said speed was a main cause and were unable to find debris on the road that could justify the incident. Porsche engineers are also looking into the massive fireball that engulfed the Carrera GT that claimed Walker's life.
