In Fast & Furious 6, Letty Ortiz drives a bite-the-back-of-your-hand beautiful Jensen Interceptor. In Furious 7, the badass female character played by Michelle Rodriguez goes for a green-and-black Dodge Challenger R/T with a push bumper up front.
For the upcoming Fast 8, Letty gets some time behind the wheel of a 1966 Corvette with pro-touring cues. Photographs posted on Instagram show us that Dom’s girlfriend is going to jump on the Corvette bandwagon.
Painted in period Rally Red, the C2 Corvette Sting Ray in the photo gallery to your right is garnished with pro-touring aesthetic elements, modern brakes and wheels, and look like 315-section tires. Provided that the color is original, the 1966 Corvette is one of only 3,366 painted Rally Red that model year.
There are no badges on the front fenders to suggest that this is a fuel injected C2 Corvette, which means that the old-school brute was originally equipped with Holley carburetors. All in all, the V8-powered blast from the past is only fitting for Michelle Rodriguez, more so if you consider that the American actress had pushed the Jaguar F-Type SVR to 201 mph (323 km/h).
The eighth installment in the Fast & Furious saga will hit theaters on April 14, 2017. Other cars you should look forward to from this action-pack flick include a 1970 Dodge Charger R/T, a similarly old-school Plymouth GTX, Rocket Bunny-inspired Subaru BRZ, Bentley Continental GT, Mercedes-AMG GT S, Ford Model T rat rod, Chevrolet Bel Air, and a Jaguar F-Type Coupe.
Regarding the movies that will be following Fast 8, the final flicks of the blockbuster F&F saga are slated for April 19, 2019, and April 2, 2021.
