After their beloved sheep dog died, farmer Dave Isaacs and his family decided they spend £2,000 ($3,163) to turn their Peugeot estate car into a dog lookalike ride. Not only did the car get a cute makeover the entire village loved, but the vehicle resembled their loyal companion that good even the sheep wouldn’t feel the difference.
Isaacs and his family live on an 180 acre (72,8 hectares) farm near Battle in East Sussex, England. They claim their gesture was a natural tribute anybody would make to celebrate the memory of a true companion. After all, the sheep dog is very important in keeping things safe and sound in any farm.
“I know it was a bit of a mad thing to do but it was a tribute to my old sheep dog Floss who passed away. I have three kids and we loved her and as a family we all missed her terribly,” the man explained.
The sheep listen to the car
The family car is now able to reach up to 40 mph (64 km/h), but what is really interesting is that the vehicle almost does the job the dog used to do, which is herding sheep.
“Sheep aren’t known for their intelligence and they didn’t seem to notice the difference so they were quite happy,” the farmer added.
However, the family has recently decided they’ll need to let go of their furry car because it is taking up too much barn space and too much effort to maintain. It turns out they’ll put the vehicle on eBay soon enough, so if you’re a dog person maybe you should consider it.
