Fans to Test Drive Abu Dhabi Circuit

Four months to the debut of Formula One's most awaited race in 2009, the Abu Dhabi GP at the Yas Marina Circuit, fans worldwide have the opportunity to lap the yet-to-be-finished track on the circuit's official site. The virtual tour offers the viewers a glimpse of how the F1 drivers will feel like when being introduced to the Abu Dhabi based track for this year's season finale.

For starters, you should know that accessing the “Virtual Driver Experience” at is not as easy as one can imagine, as there are already thousands of fans getting a sneak peak of the Yas Marina circuit of their own. When finally able to enter the application, one will be placed behind the wheel and experience the ups and downs of the aforementioned track.

There is so much interest in Yas Marina Circuit and the race here in Abu Dhabi on November 1, that the Virtual Driver Experience is a great opportunity for motor sports fans to get as close to the action as possible before race day,” said the Yas Marina Circuit CEO Richard Cregan in a press release.

Our Virtual Driver Experience is simple to use but a challenge to master. Whether you are accelerating down the longest straight on any Formula 1 circuit, skidding off the track under the Grandstand, tackling the tricky Marina and Yas Yacht Club corners or driving beneath The Yas Hotel, every lap offers a challenge,” added Gregan.

Recent rumors suggesting that Yas Marina will not be ready until November 1 to host the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix recently surfaced in the media, but Gregan dismissed the allegations.
