Without giving away any spoilers, Jaguar Land Rover again played the part of a bad guy supplier for the latest action blockbuster from the James Bond franchise. But how about reversing the roles?
In case one still hasn’t seen Daniel Craig’s fifth and final (though, “Never Say Never Again,” just like Sir Sean Connery) outing as the fabled MI6 agent – aka James Bond 007 – better hurry and catch it on the biggest screen possible.

It's not for the 3D, which is superfluous, as always, but for the scenery. Also the ladies, the gadgets, the action, the humor, the emotional parts (no kidding), the gadgets, the attire, and of course the cars. In no particular order, though director Cary Joji Fukunaga did manage a very cool mélange of 007 spice (Dune pun intended).

Frankly, it would be uncool of us to give any spoilers, but it’s already common knowledge that Jaguar Land Rover has again supplied the bad guys with some of the cars. Interestingly, for a brief period, even Bond uses one of their vehicles. And perhaps that gave a certain virtual artist an interesting idea.

As such, Matteo Gentile, the pixel master behind the mattegentile account on social media was perhaps inspired by the latest 007 apparition to create something off-road for the next generation of Bonds, James Bonds. Dubbed “Harrison” (for unexplained reasons), it’s a Land Rover Defender restomod.

But it’s one unlike anyone has ever seen because it’s a rather futuristic take on the original Defender. With no L663 Land Rover strings attached, as far as we can tell. Perhaps Eon Productions will take note, as James Bond clearly needs to keep up with the times and understand that nowadays just about the entire automotive world revolves around crossovers, SUVs, and trucks.

Hopefully, by the time we find out the name of the next actor (or actress) who will assume the mantle of the elegant yet hardy British spy, all the automotive woes are also going to be resolved. After all, if Aston Martin doesn’t want the DBX in front of the cameras, perhaps such inspiring creations could take “OHMSS” (On Her Majesty’s Secret Service) precedence.
