Given how Peter Griffin puts his 1975 Ford LTD Wagon to hard work and regularly drives the thing off the road, the whole family, not just the guy, could use a Mercedes-AMG G63 - and while this thought might seem to have come out of the blue, it actually came to mind after noticing the Family Guy wrap of the Gelandewagen that brought us here.
This is not a drill! And by that I'm refering to the fact that we're not dealing with one of the many renderings that populate the web these days. Instead, the Family Guy G63 sitting before is the result of a brilliant wrap job.
The second skin adventure of the Affalterbach offroader is all kinds of awesome and, despite the overall theme being nothing short of an attention bomb, the devil is in the details with this one. For instance, the Brian spare wheel cover is the one that does it for me, but I'm sure some of you prefer other bits of the rolling pop art piece sitting before us.
At least from where I'm standing, episodes that cover vacations are the best and this applies to most shows, not just The Family Guy. Well, this Mercedes-AMG was certainly on vacay, since the G63 is on Belgian plates, but the vehicle was spotted over in Monaco (of course).
And it looks like the wrapp job was handled by a specialist called Absolute Motors (you can find its name on the G Wagon). The Dutch company is no stranger to wraps that act like attention magnets, with this Lamborghini Aventador SV impersonating an "Alitalia Rally Car" being an example as good as any.
Now, if the idea of the new Mercedes-AMG G63 and pop art being placed into the same sentence seems familiar, it's probably thanks to this G canvas we discussed back in August, which displays the art of Takashi Murakami.
