When it comes to video game consoles, the Xbox One has the upper hand in the eyes of petrolheads thanks to Forza Motorsport 6. And good golly, car guys and Fallout fans alike now have a further reason to get their hands on the Forza Motorsport 6 game - this fan-bleeding-tastic Ford F100 pickup.
The truck you can admire in the video attached below is a 1956 Ford F100, but it's not standard. The Vault-Tec graphics that adorn this F100 are the name of the game for Fallout fans. For those of you who don't know what Fallout is all about, Vault-Tec is synonymous with highly experimental technologies in the role-playing game's post-apocalyptic world. What does this truck do for a living? It races, of course.
In the world of Forza Motorsport, everything is permitted, including a Fallout 4-themed pickup truck. Speaking of which, the Ford F100 shown here is now available to drive in Forza 6 for a very good reason - Fallout 4 is coming on November 10, and the hype surrounding the game's fourth installment is huuuuuuuge.
On a side note, we're sorry to inform Fallout (and Forza) fans that you can't drive the F100 around the Super Mutant-infested Boston of 2287. Yep, that's quite a letdown. To make it up to us, Bethesda Game Studios has announced that Fallout 4 players will soon get to drive the Chryslus Rocket 69 in Forza 6 Motorsport.
If this kind of partnership is what the video game industry is racing toward, then bring it on!
P.S.: I wonder if the Ford Motor Company had something to do with this Fallout 4-Forza Motorsport 6 in-game product placement, considering that American video game developer Turn 10 Studios partnered up with FoMoCo to make the 2017 Ford GT the game's cover car. But who gives a damn? Two new cars in Forza 6 and an all-new Fallout game are enough good news for hardcore Xbox One fans, at least for a while.
