Fake Mercedes GL-Ford Monster Limo

Reliability, history, prestige, build quality - people squeeze the essence out of all of these above and transform it into a badge. BMW’s looks like an airplane propeller, which means that you’re going fast. Mercedes’ is all shiny and translates into luxury, while Audi has many rings, which makes you a snob if you buy one.
Take it or leave it, that’s how the world works, and you can’t really get away from badge snobbery. That’s probably why this strange-looking stretched limo is masquerading as a Mercedes.

At it’s core is a Ford Excursion SUV, but the front end has the headlights and grille of a Mercedes GL-Class. According to the seller, this is supposed to bring you twice the bucks per hour of a limo without the conversion, though we’d be ashamed of every last cent.

The vehicle can be found up for sale on eBay. With about 12 hours to go in the auction, the current bid is at an impressive $20,000.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
