Failing at Parenting, You're Doing It Right

One negative role model 1 photo

Unfortunately, I am pretty sure that there will be a lot of guys watching this video and cheering how great this father is. I am not one of those, mainly because of two reasons. First of all, I DO care about the well-being of my son, and secondly, I don't fancy facing jail time, parental rights restrictions, fines, and generally speaking, I'm quite okay with not breaking the penal law.
I am willing to skip the fact that the father is not wearing a helmet. Maybe they ride in a place where motorcyclists are not required to wear a helmet, but I honestly doubt there are places around the world where one can have a child, who, by the way, looks like he's under 10 or so, aboard a motorbike without wearing head protection.

And to this, we must add putting a child in the rider's seat and allowing him to operate the motorcycle on public roads. There may be several other charges that could be pressed, including endangerment and more. I am not a cop or a prosecutor, but I do hope that one of these will have the video as part of the file to be brought in court.

I won't even go to that part when I should start talking about how these two could become injured if anything went wrong. Those who failed to understand such a point right after hitting the play button will probably not understand why and in which way this is immensely dangerous.

It just makes me sad to see people who could otherwise be indeed cool dads acting like mindless fools. This fellow could teach his son about how nice the motorcycling world is and maybe see if there is any natural talent in him, possibly helping the young man to become a pro rider of some sort.

Sadly, with such role models, the future's not too bright...
