Facelifted Nissan X-Trail Is Here

Nissan’s UK division is introducing the revised version of the X-Trail SUV. The vehicle is already on sale and the first deliveries are scheduled for October.

The revamped model comes with exterior and interior modifications, as well as a reduction for the level of CO2.

The entry-level model of the range remains the Ascenta, which starts at 23,995 pounds ($38,000 or EUR28,234) and comes with a list of standard equipment that includes body coloured electrically adjusting door mirrors, privacy glass, automatic headlamps and wipers, front fog lamps and 17-inch alloy wheels.

At the other end of the scale we find the Tekna model, which has a starting price of 27,495 pounds ($43,546 or EUR32,350). The range-topper adds the following features: power-folding door mirrors, xenon headlamps, panoramic sunroof and leather seats. The infotainment package incorporates a Connect Premium HDD sat-nav with music server and USB port, a rear view camera and BOSE audio with nine speakers.

As for the CO2 emissions reductions, the 173 hp 2.0l dCi engine (with a manual gearbox) now stands at 168 g/km, a figure that can be translated into a 15 percent decrease. The fuel efficiency has been increased from 38.2 UK mpg (31.8 US mpg or 7.4 l/100 km) to 44.1 UK mpg (36.7 US mpg or 6.4 l/100 km).

The 150 hp 2.0l dCi drops from 216 g/km to 188 g/km, with its fuel economy raised from 34.9 UK mpg (29 US mpg or 8.1 l/100 km) to 39.8 UK mpg (33.1 US mpg or 7.1 l/100 km).

The X-Trail has received a new manual gearbox, as well as an improved shift schedule and enhanced friction reduction for the automatic transmissions, as well as low rolling resistance tires.
