We’re always happy to bring you news related to the German Power War and today is one of those good days when we can do this. Mercedes-Benz has just released a new set of images, showing the facelifted incarnation of the C63 AMG in action.

Just like the more humble versions of the 2011 C-Klasse, the AMG gets a modified frontal area, with redesigned headlights, a new front grille and a fresh apron. The vehicle also comes with LED daytime running lights that use the AMG design language.

The list of other exterior changes includes a new aluminum hood, a new rear bumper, as well as fresh 18-inch AMG rims. The vehicle offers the same level of performance but comes with an increased efficency (a 10 percent boost), which has been achieved through the use a a new power steering pump and the use of a “Controlled Efficiency” program for the AMG speed-shift MCT seven-speed gearbox.

Under the bonnet of the C63 AMG we can find the same naturally aspirated 6.2 liter V8 unit that delivers 457 hp. However, Mercedes can salute those about to rock with an AMG Performance Package. This includes goodies such as new pistons, connecting rods and a lightened crankshaft, allowing the driver to play with 481 hp.

The AMG Performance package also brings a set of exterior and interior changes, including a red finish for the calipers, a carbon boot lid lip spoiler (for the saloon version) and an AMG performance steering wheel.
