Facelifted Hyundai Accent First Photos

There are only a few details regarding the future version of the Hyundai Accent but the first photos showing the upcoming model surfaced today giving us a hint into how the new car will look like. According to the guys over at, the images show the revised Accent for the Korean market, also known as Verna Transform, which will boast a number of exterior and interior upgrades plus engineering enhancements.

As you can see for yourselves in the adjacent photos, the new model comes with a refreshed front fascia, comprising of new headlights, a redesigned grille plus a new front bumper that gives it a more aggressive stance on the road. Other improvements include the fog lights, which are now placed on the outer edges of the
bumper, and the large air intakes. At the rear, the Verna Transform brings redesigned taillights and a new rear bumper.

Interiors have been refreshed as well, with the car now bringing a different instrument panel lighting (now blue compared with green on the previous model) plus new materials.

As for the engines, the revised model will rely, just as expected, on improved powerplants that would reduce fuel consumption and would lower CO2 emissions. The aforementioned source says the car will be powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, but overall figures are yet to be released. An interesting addition is represented by the introduction of a so-called eco lamp on the dashboard that will help the driver increase efficiency by driving more economically.

The revised model will see daylight in Korea in mid June while the overseas markets are expected to receive it in the last months of this year.
