The world of Formula 1 ground to a halt for the last two weeks, as half of the month-long gap between the the Hungarian and Belgian GPs was dedicated to doing absolutely nothing. However, in the break, it has come to our attention that Mercedes-Benz F1 effort may soon be over, after one of the richest and longest histories in the sport.
Furthermore, while most teams sent their employees on holiday, Caterham F1 was busy moving into their new Leafield headquarters, in the heart of Oxfordshire, UK. Now, the break is over and the teams still have just under two weeks to prepare for the Belgian GP, to be held at Spa Francochamps, between August 31st and September 2nd.

Following the Belgian GP, F1 will then move to Italy’s Monza track, before leaving European soil for the remainder of the year. Current leader of the pack, Fernando Alonso, is also reportedly back from a jet-ski vacation, which he thoroughly deserved after an excellent first half-season which he will undoubtedly try to build on during the coming races.
