Speculation regarding a possible exchange of vows between the two have been rampant, but new light has been shed by the Pussycat Dolls’ father, Alfonso Valiente, in an interview on Sunday for the Daily Mail. The man has never spoken about his daughter, described the F1 driver as his “future son-in-law”.
Valiente says he met Hamilton in the summer of 2010, when the couple spent a week on the Hawaiian island of Oahu, where his daughter, was raised. He describes Hamilton as being “down-to-earth” and a fitting man for his daughter.
“When he walked into the house for the first time he picked up one of the babies. That went down very well. He is sincere and he and my daughter seem genuinely happy together. Lewis is a really good guy. When they came to visit, we hired them a Jeep because he had never driven one before,” Valiente added.
However, when contacted by Daily Mail representatives, a spokesperson for the F1 driver, Simon Olivera, denied the rumor.
The two have enjoyed a tumultuous relationship in the past. They met up back in 2007 at the European Music Awards in Munich. There’s a bit of an awkward age difference between the 26 year old F1 driver and Nicole, who turned 33 last month, but we’re sure they can work out any differences they might have.
