We already saw BMW testing the facelifted 1 Series prototypes around the world a couple of weeks back and the first thought that crossed our mind was immediately related to the new 2 Series.

If there was one thing we hated about the M135i (or 1 Series in general as a matter of fact) when we reviewed it, it was its face. BMW used to make some really good looking cars but not even they can’t stand behind their product this time and call it in any way close to ‘beautiful’.

The F20 face has to go! That weird face resembling a curious fish doesn’t do justice to the brand and to the image we all have of it, buried deep in our heads. When we first saw the 2 Series we though ‘this could very well be the face of the LCI 1er!’.

As it turns out, some guys in Vietnam didn’t waste no time discussing things over the internet and they just got to work as soon as they could lay their hands on a BMW M235i.

What they achieved is nothing short of amazing. They simply transplanted the whole face of the coupe on the hatchback that is now looking better than ever. Then they added a couple of extra pieces here and there to make it even better looking.

Amongst them you can notice a new set of wheels, M Performance side skirts, new brakes, a restyled rear bumper, new seats and an M Performance steering wheel, all done in great taste. Actually, the end result just blew us away and BMW actually now has our blessing to build the LCI 1 Series with the exact same face as the 2 Series Coupe.

The best thing about this conversion, though, is that it's extremely cheap to do. According to a post on BabyBMW the whole thing will set you back around  €2,500 ($3,400) + shipping and that's less than a couple of optional features for your car.
