Extreme Turbo Buggy Pulls Massive Wheelie while on Dyno, Boost Is Hilarious

When we talk about sleepers, we have to mention buggy. These offroad-savvy contraptions can be some of the most surprising animals when it comes to the power-to-weight ratio and we're here to give you a sweet example of that.

This comes from the buggy in the video below, which puts on quite a show while performing a dyno run. However, don't expect this to be your usual violent dyno pull.

Before we start talking about this stationary hooning episode, we have to explain that when doing a dyno run, even on a road car, it's best to also strap the front end. Having covered that to avoid people ruining the fun by noticing the lackluster safety measures in the video, we'll move on.

This buggy manages to pull a monster wheelie while its rear wheels spin the rollers of the dynamometer. With no weight on the front end, that doesn't exactly come as a surprise. Still, nothing can prepare you for the hilarity of the moment.

The boosted side of this dyno story

The offroading machine relies on a turbocharged engine, with the resulting soundtrack getting the credit for at least half the fun in the video.

You can clearly hear that turbo spooling, but once it's loaded, the boost hits like nothing else, bringing us some delicious front end air time.

This makes us wonder about the drivability of the thing. Sure, its power reserve is basically endless, but you'll have to keep this one in its sweet spot in order to negotiate the rugged terrain.

Manhandling a buggy with what appears to be a narrow power band is more difficult than it sounds. Then again, this is the kind of activity that will bring you tons of enjoyment once mastered.
