Cross-country riding is by itself a daunting task for the stock bikes, but when the two wheels have to deal with muddy and rocky forest trails, then snow, and then the searing heat of the desert, and finally the long way back home, the going is really getting tough.
And knowing how nasty the elements can become when it comes to stopping a biker from reaching his or her goal, we wholeheartedly applaud the infusion of pure, unadulterated toughness Icon has brought in for these older Tiger 800XC Triumph bikes.

These “Portland to Dakar” Triumph machines received fully-adjustable seats and bars, enhanced operational range, more powerful alternators to generate electricity for the auxiliary gadgets and many more hours of tuning work to make the bikes tougher than the obstacles ahead.

Aside from the ultra-brutal way the resulting Triumphs look and the obviously off-road power on steroids they've been endowed with, the video is worth more than thousands of words. Now, that's extreme cross-country!
