Extreme Barbie Jeep Racing Is Dangerous but Incredibly Funny

How about competing in a race with odds of even being capable of reaching the finish line so low that it makes you laugh? Well, it this sounds amusing then you should definitely pay a visit to Heflin, Alamaba in November, for the Extreme Barbie Jeep challenge, a regular part of the RBD event held at the Morris Mountain off-road park.

The rules are as simple as it gets, and the challenge is definitely one really crazy way to have a lot of fun, especially if you don’t get hurt. While the Morris Mountain is well-known for his hill climb races, the Barbie Jeep is a downhill race, but the grunt and roar of the revved up engine will be replaced by the sound of broken plastic toy cars.

Open to one, men and women alike, this exceptionally silly race takes place on a muddy trail, making things even more interesting after rainy periods. Make no mistake, this is dangerous, and no children are allowed to take place in the race. You’ll also notice that all the competitors are wearing at least helmets, if not even more riding gear. Depending on the slope the organizers Randy and Kriss Morris are choosing, speeds can be pretty high, and with all the trackside trees, things can really get nasty.

Still, it looks like the Barbie Jeep downhill race is as popular as ever, with more similar events being staged throughout the country. We’ve got muddy 2014 action and a really crazy selection of high-speed crashes in the dry, from 2012. Have fun (we laughed our faces off) and don’t try this without wearing a helmet!
