The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is most definitely one of the most impressive supercars in the German manufacturer's history, right up there with the 300 SL or the 540K.
A collaborative project between Mercedes-Benz, AMG and McLaren, the SLR was the fastest comfortable grand tourer in the world during its production.
The 5.4-liter supercharged V8 under the ocean liner-long hood was developing no less than 626 hp in its “regular” version and 650 HP in the 722 Edition, while the torque figures were either 780 Nm (575 lb ft) or 820 Nm (605 lb ft) for the 722 Edition.
The model's most impressive feature was most likely its design, with the gadgety electro-hydraulic wing that also acted as an air-brake at high speeds, butterfly doors and of course that ginormous hood that opened backwards, racing-style.
The way that the featured SLR is just sitting there - in a garage, with all its innards exposed – and waiting for a vinyl wrap is probably the only way you could make it look cooler while not actually modifying its design with an ugly body kit.
