Not everybody agrees with Lotus’ new pathway, but this seems to be the only way for the company to balance driving pleasure with profitability. We recently got to sit down with Lotus CEO Dany Bahar and talk about where the company is going. However, out of the interview, there was one aspect that captured our imagination the most: a Lotus Seven revival.
The idea of Lotus giving us a new Seven has been floating around since... forever, but the possibility now seems closer than ever. Asked about the car, Bahar told us that he’s recently been presented with a set of drawing and was impressed by these.
“I’ve seen some drawings [of the Seven revival] and they look very nice, we have to see. It’s always possible, it’s just a matter of timing,” Bahar said.
The truth is that the car would fit perfectly in the automaker’s new range, being the final element that would really allow it to offer something for every kind of speed enthusiasts.
