Ex-army officer, ex-racing car driver and ex-Stig turned stunt man, Ben Collins has been ‘famous’ for a few years now. We just didn’t know what his face looked like. Now we do, and associating the face with the mad driving skills is exactly what the producers of the new Bond movie have done, having hired him as a stunt driver.
This is not Ben’s first contact with the movie industry, having worked on the sets of the previous two films in the series. One of the jobs he had to do on the latest Bond movie, was crashing a Land Rover into the side of another car, nearly totaling it. In total, the production of the movie ‘claimed’ 21 automotive victims in total.
We’re happy to see that his sheer driving talent is still landing Ben good jobs and that the Top Gear ‘thing’ didn’t send his career and life into the gutter. But, in the end, there’s no substitute for talent, and he has proved to us on countless episodes of Top Gear that he is one amazing driver.
