Oh glorious technology, how cool are you! And we do say proper cool, after we saw the CTR Cooling Vest from EVS.
With CTR standing for "Core Temperature Regulator" things seem so much clearer: this piece of garment was engineered to help riders cool down in the hot summer weather. And even they might be suspicious in the first place, such things really work, and yes, one can actually dress up an be cooler.
The EVS CTR Cooling Vest is made with thin layers of special "Super Absorbent Polymer" which must be saturated with water. Once "loaded", this polymer retains and slowly disperses water which is evaporated by the incoming air, thus cooling the body.
This in turn, makes your ride more pleasurable even in very hot weather, while at the same time allowing longer riding sessions. When needed, all it need to "recharge" is being soaked in water again and there you go.
