Evoque Named Women's World Car of the Year 2012

We liked the concept car look of the Range Rover Evoque so much when we tested it last year that we probably would have bought one if it had a bigger engine. However, its image has been throughly ruined in our eyes by utterly stupid tuning and now a dubious award - Women’s World Car of the Year.

Yes, we’ll admit that we’re shallow and will never look at the car in the same way ever again. Why does a strong SUV with posh looks have to be a woman’s car now, while the Volkswagen Up! was named World Car of the Year Winner. This gives us a strong urge to see a head-on collision between the two now.

In the overall ranking of the Women’s World Car of the Year 2012, the BMW 3-Series came second and the Audi Q3 came third. Those are some cool women!

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
