Everybody Use Your Goddamn Turn Signal is the title of Paul Gilbert's latest music video, and you don't need us to tell you what this is all about. So far, detailed information about what caused Gilbert to choose such a theme for the very song that opens this new album is hard to find, but guessing is not that hard.
After 20 years of driving in Los Angeles, I was inspired to open my album with the song ‘Everybody Use Your Goddamn Turn Signal. I plan to rock audiences around the world with the heavy groove and rippin’ guitar solos. And it always puts a smile on my face to hear ‘Goddamn’ sung in beautiful three-part harmony. I actually think the song could save some lives. Or at least untangle some traffic jams. See you on the road!” Paul Gilbert declared for Ultimate Classic Rock.

In case rock doesn't represent a solid part of your playlists, we'll just mention the name of Mr. Big, a band that you should have at least heard about. One of the classic US hard rock bands formed in the late '80s and which endures until today, also employing a huge guy in contemporary music, bassist Billy Sheehan.

Now, if you're familiar with Paul Gilbert's solo work, then you should know that the guy is often using fun-laden ideas for songs and even for live performances.

If you're in for a good live that sounds both amazing and funny while looking almost silly, please make sure you check out the Space Ship Live album on YouTube, recorded as a live session at the Cello Studios in Hollywood.

Even in the absence of rock in your life, the message conveyed by Gilbert's video is clear as daylight. The roads are becoming more crowded by the year, but unfortunately, the skills of the motorists, riders, and drivers alike are not following the ascending trend.

As if things were not already bad with more people on the roads, many of these fellows are driving/riding mindlessly and in utter disregard for their own safety, let alone the well-being of the other motorists. Many of the road incidents could be avoided if these chaps would simply make use of the turn signals their vehicles have been equipped with, but for some, even such a simple task seems way too complex.

So for all these people, Everybody Use Your Goddamn Turn Signal!

PS: This piece has nothing to do with motorcycles particularly, it's justa  road safety thing!
