Those who have seen the last installment of the James Bond franchise have probably observed that even though Jaguar Land Rover has provided the proper machinery, the car chasing scenes were not that spectacular. The Evoque convertible luxury SUV in question, however, is so fresh it wasn’t even invited to the party. It did make a dramatic appearance on US soil, though, as actress Naomie Harris showed off her toned body in a bright pink cut-out swimsuit next to it.
How often do you get to see a luxury SUV that strips into a convertible while having a famous actress turning beach-babe around it? Art is in the eyes of the beholder, and innovation pretty much goes by the same rules when it comes to the automotive industry. Look, but do not stare!

This is not just the regular beach shooting, mind you, as Land Rover used it to officially unveil its first luxury compact convertible SUV along the iconic coastline of Los Angeles in Santa Monica, California. From shooting Spectre scenes in the Austrian mountains straight to the sunny beach of fame-land, the James Bond star had no problem to trade the winter clothes for a swimsuit.

Harris, whom you probably know as Moneypenny, has been paired with Land Rover vehicles including the Defender (in Skyfall) and more recently the Discovery Sport (in Spectre), so having her “test” the new convertible came naturally.

I was so impressed by the design of this car; it's like nothing I've seen on the road before and is so sleek! I love the fact that it is just as much at home driving down the Pacific Coast Highway in LA, as it is off-road in the British Countryside.

To celebrate the world debut of the model, the British carmaker has installed full-size wireframe sculptures of the newest Range Rover model in West Hollywood at Le Zinque and Santa Monica Pier, with the latter staying there until November 20.
