Who says being part of the force is a no-fun and all-work type of life? Well, it seems the world of criminals is not that dangerous and nasty after all. Anyway, this is how it looks like watching this 15 seconds Youtube clip that shows a police patrol having quite a good time listening to an all timer Hip Hop hit.

In case you forgot, considering we are dealing with a 1993 hit, we’ll remind you that “Sound of da Police” is the second and final single form rapper KRS-One’s first solo album, “Return of the Boom Bap.” The song that begins with KRS-One whooping twice to evoke a police siren was used in the trailer for the comedy movie “Cop Out.”

The lyrics refer to the police in places like Bronx, New York, which have a history of institutionalized racism, oppression and violence against the black community. The rapper, Lawrence Krisna Parker on his real name, is noted to be a politically active musician having started the “Stop the Violence Movement”, as well as addressing political issues in his music.

According to The Telegraph, Essex police say they are “looking into the matter”. Meanwhile, we must admit the 1993 Hip Hop hit would make a hell of a replacement for the patrols playing every time they go in mission. That is, in case one day someone will actually consider playing music instead of the old-school police sirens. Whoop, whoop!
