The official word is that the red speedster that is the ES-13 Flèche Rouge (Red Arrow) was launched in June by the 2013 students of the Espera Montbéliard School of Design in France. We don't want to sound mean or anything, but maybe those student should have been kept back a semester or two.
From some angles, it looks like the ideal combination between a racing car and the Batmobile, but then you get to the nose and you see the horror. This red arrow is blunt and looks like an art-deco sausage-making machine with a wing on top. And before you jump to say that thing in the middle is an air intake, we'll point out there's a piece of plexiglass in the middle.

That's French design for you! And you want to know what else is French? The engine, which is a Citroen DS3 unit rated at 156 hp. That doesn't sound particularly impressive, not even when you consider the car is supposed to weigh 700 kg. Double both figures and you'd 312 hp for a 1.4 ton car, exactly average hot hatch performance!

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
