Essen 2013: Brabus G800

Brabus unveiled is sexy superpowered version of the ultra-rare, ultra-exclusive Mercedes G65 AMG back in March when it was shown in Geneva. Now the mighty G800 is back and it's got a temper for the Essen tuning show.

Being surrounded by so many tuned cars has not phased the Brabus 4x4 one bit. And that's because its 12-piston heart beats to the sound of 800 hp and peak torque of 1,420Nm. As a result, this is probably the only G-Class that will do the 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/h.

Brabus are masters of the tuned engine, and for this project they've added new turbochargers, new motor mounts, a big intercooler, new exhaust catalysts and the obligatory engine tune.

The body of the G800 is kitted out with new bumpers, sexy 23-inch wheels, LED daytime running lights, illuminated running board caps, rear skirt, roof spoiler and lower door panels.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
