The gloom seems to wear off at the headquarters of Erik Buell Racing after the recent GE Capital floorplan financing deal was struck. No less than 3 new models have been announced on the official site, but so far nothing else apart from some codenames is known: RX, SX and AX.
We believe all this secrecy will not last for long, as EBR has to move really fast after gaining momentum with the new financing. Receiving money to develop a stronger dealership network across the US to sell the current amazing 1190RS beast, all our hopes are to see EBR starting producing the new machines and having them in the new showrooms.
If what we know about naming bikes is true, we could be seeing EBR rolling out a new sportbike, a naked/ streetfighter/ hypermotard one, and possibly and adventure-oriented machine. While the current 1190RS pictured below retails for a hefty $40,000 (€30,140), the new motorcycles are expected to be half as pricey.
And knowing how cool are all the bikes Erik Buell built, we're really looking forward to see some amazing beasts in 2014.
