Erick Buell Racing Inc. (EBR) sold 49.2% of their stake to Hero MotoCorp Ltd. The Indian manufacturer got backing from Bain Capital and Cyril Huze reports that the $25mil (€19.17 mil) will be split 15-10mil between EBR and investment within the coming months.
The new Erik Buell Racing emerged from the ashes Harley-Davidson's departure left. While many thought that the moment marked the death of a legend, it looks like Erik knew better and managed to attract money to keep wheels spinning. After the 1190RS, new machinery is teased and the current move brings even more momentum to EBR.

Hero MotoCorp is the world largest manufacturer by volumes and the tie-up with EBR aims to making a daring step into the sporty bikes for the Indian market. We're waiting for the new machinery announced for the fall. As for India, we knew it was the new El Dorado.
