This is a very special one-off Ferrari built around the 458 Italia, but with a little bit of retro flavor. The car created specifically to make one man very happy, Eric Clapton, who loves the 512 BB but wanted something modern for his collection.
The SP12 EC is built in Maranello by Ferrari themselves, who charged the world-famous guitarist GBP3 million for the car.

The 512 had the 12-cylinder boxer engine at the back, but this retains a 90 degree V8 and retains the rest of the 458's running gear. The rare machine was recently caught being driven at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where it attracted a crowd.

The video shot by Alex Smolik takes us through some of the smaller details on the car that we might have otherwise missed.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
