Eric Bana Loves the Beast and Goes Green

More and more personalities have shown their concern about the dangerous carbon emissions these days.

Thus, actor Eric Bana struggles  to prove that petrolheads can drive racing cars and still go green by offsetting the carbon emissions during the making of his new film “Love The Beast”, drive.com has learned.

With the aforementioned movie, the actor wants to highlight at least two things. On the one hand, he wants to reveal his passion for Ford GT Falcon Coupe also known as The Beast. On the other, he intends to send a warning message about the danger of carbon emissions for the Earth. In addition, his intention is to show that love for racing cars and love for the Blue Planet can go together like jelly and butter.

Certainly the combination goes only under one condition: offsetting the carbon emissions.

"Offsetting the carbon emissions is one of the steps we took to minimise the impact on the environment," producer Peter Hill explained,

Therfore, producers of the movie which will be released on March 12 in Australian cinemas, documented and assessed the greenhouse gas emissions from energy use, transportation and hotel accommodation and offset them with accredited projects that have a renewable energy component and by investing in the restoration of biodiverse, resilient forest ecosystems.

"In making a film about the love of motorsport and cars we were mindful of the environmental message we were sending,"Hill said. "We love cars but love the planet more, and wanted to ensure we made a film in the most environmentally friendly way possible,” he added.

Auto personalities like Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear and talk show host Jay Leno also star in the movie made by Eric Bana's company Pick Up Truck Pictures and Melbourne-based film group Whyte House Productions. The two companies and not-for-profit organization Climate Positive calculated and offset the carbon polluting activities associated with making the film.
