This video pretty much sums up why the FA20 platform developed by Toyota and Subaru is awesome. Firstly, it’s cheap to buy, secondly, it’s a great starting car for beginner drifters and third, it allows you to go full berserk and transform it into a tire shredding monster.
Professional drift racer Ryan Tuerck can be looked at as one of the sportscar’s ambassadors. Last December, the man was testing out his newly-upgraded Scion FR-S (Toyota GT 86 in Europe) on an enclosed road in the Northwest. The almighty 2JZ engine stuffed under the hood boasting 830 hp was more than enough to make it dance with ease.

But it looks like you don’t really need that amount of power to make it that tail happy. Only recently, Ryan did a similar stunt with another all-white FR-S wearing only a Rocket Bunny body kit on some remote roads on the Vermont mountain. This one pushes “only” 600 hp, but it looks as vicious as the one from last year. No word what's in the engine bay, but it could be another 2JZ.

And as a bonus, later in the video, fellow Formula Drift driver Pat Goodin joins the action, driving Tuerck’s old 1JZ S13 in tandem on the same piece of road. Grab some popcorn and turn up the volume.
