A 1964 Ferrari 330GT Series 1, said to be Enzo Ferrari’s favorite model, will go under the hammer in May 17th at Silverstone Auctions.
The 330GT Series 1 was styled by Pininfarina, having four headlights as a distinctive feature at the front - pretty unusual for a Ferrari at the time. The simple and yet beautiful machine drains its power from the same engine found in the 250 GT/E model, a 4-liter V12 producing 300 bhp, with three Weber carburetors and a 4-speed gearbox attached to it. This setup could launch the car from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.3 seconds, making it one of the most fastest cars of the early/mid ‘60s.

The auctioned model was very well maintained, as its former owner was an Aston Martin specialist and engineer.

The car is said to start and work faultless, having plenty of power in reserve to ensure an enjoyable drive. Being recently stripped and repainted in correct Ferrari Blu Pozzi color and carefully put back piece by piece, the starting price of this fine example is set at £95,000 (€112,800).
