Touring bikes are usually big and bulky, and especially when thinking about the BMW ones you'd hardly believe they can be slim and sleek. Welcome the 2013 BMW F800GT, the new middleweight member in the GT class.
The 798cc engine comes with a 2-in-line engine capable to deliver no less than 90 BHP via a maintenance-free belt. The new bike comes with better wind protection and a slightly redesigned, optimized luggage space, lighter wheels, and better ergonomics.
BMW's latest-generation ABS comes as a standard feature, and high-tech specialties, such as the Automatic Stability Control ASC and the Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA) can be also fitted optionally ex works. The 2013 BMW F800GT comes with a hand-operated wheel adjustable rear suspension and raised handlebars for more comfort during long rides.
A steel-titanium Akrapovic silencer is also offered as a custom option, reducing the weight with 1.7 kg (3.75 lbs). A 35kW option is also available for European beginners. No MSRP has yet been indicated.
