Energica looks better than anything electric 1 photo

CRP Racing are planning to release their new electric street-bike at the EICMA in Milan, Italy pretty soon.
While the bike is still in the preorder stage and there still are a lot of tests to be carried out, the first and most striking thing about it was that it looks great. In fact it most likely the first electric bike to look really cool, like any top-notch big boy-toy should. We were never too keen on the white bikes, but the Energica somehow seems to cut it well.

There is nothing amiss with the design of this bike, and we could even say it looks better than come petrol bikes out there. The compact bodywork combines edgy shapes with fat, flowing lines and the result is truly eye-pleasing, just like a real bike from the future.

The announced pricing is a rather steep one: for €18,000 ($22,900), potential customers should get some really nifty package. So far Electrica's spec sheet shows a 100kW power with a 220 km/h (136 mph) speed and 160 Nm (118 ft-lbs) and a 80 km (50 miles) range in racing mode, with a possible 150 km (93 miles) in a more casual riding scenario. No word on recharging time an cycles, but most likely the EICMA will provide the perfect occasion for more info.

The battle is clearly on, and with the price difference, we're expecting really nice features. One thing has though been established: the Energica beats the Empulse hands down when it comes to looks.
