Electric vehicles team Elmoto shows yet another eye-candy bike in the shape of the HR-3.
So far Elmoto brings three electric vehicles to the market: the HR-1 “pedelec” a hybrid between a bicycle and electric bike, the HR-2 and now the HR-3. Elmoto HR-3 can deliver now a max power reaching 8.5 kW and can travel as fast as 80 km/h (49.7 mph).
Loading the Elmoto HR-3 with three battery packs gives the bike an announced range of 120 km/ 74.5 miles. It may not be much, but given the lightweight nature of the HR-3, it's more than obvious this bike has been designed for commuting over little distances or rides across the city.
At any rate, 120 km in the city and suburbs is more than enough, as most of us never ride such distances daily. The bike architecture allows the rider to fit one, two or three batteries inside the special compartment.
The really nice feature for the new model is that the Elmoto HR-3 can now carry two people, increasing the economy even more. The Elmoto HR-3 takes 2 hours to be fast recharged, with official specs and pricing yet to be announced. We can expect prices between 5,000 and 6,500€/ $6,475-$8,440.
