The elevated sectors of the iconic Autodromo di Monza may be transformed into a multimedia museum dedicated to motorsport. The initiative was proposed to the Regional Council of Monza several months ago, and on the 6th of May, the project was approved.
The elevated turns of the Monza circuit are probably the most representative things for the old circuit. However, these sectors have not been used in quite a long time, and have been abandoned, slowly decaying and losing all the glory they’ve once enjoyed. Opponents of the project argued against investments and said that they would be better off demolished and completely eliminated from the scenery, but their vision was not shared by the majority.

This museum should be opened in 2015, and is intended to be an additional point of interest for the millions of visitors which will be in the Milan area for the EICMA 2015. Even more, by restoring the existing track, the architectural value of the circuit will be maintained, allowing visitors to experience the way old-school racing was like in the Monza Park.

Both cars and motorcycles will be part of the future museum, as the old Monza circuit was one of the most thrilling places to be when it came to racing. The development project is also touted as a good chance to revitalize the local economic situation and become one more attraction of the Lombardy region.
If it was the case, such a project would have instantly earned our vote, especially as we’re talking about a most illustrious piece of motorsport racing. Via insella
