Pickup truck lovers gather around and check out the first Ford SVT Raptor with a full electric powertrain being ready to go ride hard on... the grass of a golf course. Yeah, it’s a golf cart, but it’s one with style and comes at a price.
The electric SVT Raptor golf cart is based on a normal one, yet it has a high-ride suspension which gives it a lot of ground clearance, room for four shoulder-to-shoulder golfers and four golf club bags in the back, safely held in place by a working, hinged tailgate.

Caddishack built the outer shell according to the exact shapes of a real Raptor. You won’t get doors and an enclosed cab, but the front and rear totally look like the real deal.

The tech sheet says it comes with front and rear leaf-springs, hydraulic shock absorbers, 14-inch wheels wrapped in off-road tires as well as a 48-volt electric motor that pushes the cart from zero to 25 mph (42.5 km/h) top speed in 2,9 seconds.

But then, here comes the price...

Seems like a nice toy to have and showoff with in front of your golfer friends, but the amount of work that has been put into such a cart doesn’t come cheap. It comes with with a $25,000 (€20,010 at the current exchange rates) price tag, which definitely puts it in front of many road-going cars, even the Mitsubishi i-MiEV, which is about 2 grand cheaper.

Whatever the case, we’re pretty sure this cart won’t end up being destroyed in a Jackass-like TV show or something similar after it served it’s purpose for a few years.

And if this mini SVT Raptor got you curious on the world of golf-cart-tuning, we strongly suggest you to check out our collection of similar cart articles here.
