Have you ever heard of the DeLorean DMC-12, a sportscar that’s the stuff of legends and was built in the early 80s for the American market? Of course you have, and you probably have owned a model version of it, but how about the real thing. Sadly, that would be to expensive for an average person, but that’s all about to change.
Back in July 2007, DMC Texas announced they would be building a limited production run, and now they’ve stated via their official website that the Humble facility in Texas will roll out electric vehicle versions starting in 2013.

Specific details about the powertrain are limited at the moment, and we wouldn’t put our money down for one just yet. However, DMC says they are collaborating with electric car startup Epic EV to put their DeLorean into production.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
