Kawasaki's latest naked bike, the Z750R is present these days at the 2010 EICMA. The bike is said to bring a new levels of handling and braking sophistication to the mid-weight class. With a sportier look than the current Z750 model, the ‘R’ version comes with new brakes and exhaust system.

The new model comes with an improved 41 mm front fork with rebound adjustability for both sides, as opposed to the Z750 model, and a revised aluminum swing arm with a new piggyback nitrogen reservoir in the rear.

Twin Disk, 300 mm brakes in the front and a 250 mm single-disk at the rear provide excellent stopping power. On top of that, the brake lines are now steel braided items which give the bike an overall higher-end spec feel. The handling package equipping the Z 750 R will reward riders looking for Supersport handling from a naked bike.

The engine remains unchanged from the previous model, a 748cc inline four cylinder, liquid cooled, DOHC with digital fuel injection. It provides 106 hp and 72 to 78 Nm (53 to 57 lb-ft) of torque. That is enough to propel the 195kg bike to a top speed of 149 mph (240 km/h).

Visual upgrades include a high-grade, sharper front cowl, a front fender with new fork guard portions, sharper turn signals, sporty R-model instrumentation and a luxurious two-tone color scheme.

“The Z750R is an impressive package. It has been designed to take the handling, braking and overall specification of the hugely popular Z750 to a totally new level, justifying the exclusive R status of our new mid-weight naked contender for the coming year,” Kawasaki says.
