The whole streetfighter scene was started back in the 80s, when European bikers took off fairings and fenders to create motorcycles for tricks and stunts. Back in 2008 Ducati decided to make their own factory version, dubbed simply the Ducati Streetfighter.

The current "S" model features a stronger 155 hp (115 kW), 1098 Desmodromic L-twin engine that is well proven in other Ducatis. A high performance six-speed box and racing-style dry clutch makes sure the transmission package delivers the power to the road.

The massive Streetfighter 2 into 1 into 2 exhaust system is made from weight-saving 1mm thin steel. The exhaust fumes flow from 58mm to 63.5mm diameter pipes and into the big mufflers with carbon fiber finish.

The whole purpose of a Streetfighter is to be lightweight and powerful, so it comes as no surprise this model only weighs 167kg (368lb). Suspension comes in the form of 43mm Superbike-spec Ohlins forks. When the fighting gets underway you should be glad this bike has fully adjustability in spring preload and adjustability in compression and rebound damping.

The bike has 5-spoke wheels made by Marchesini, forged and machined from lightweight aluminum alloy. Stopping the wheels are twin Monobloc calipers coupled with 34 mm pistons that grip onto 330 mm discs.

The 2011 Streetfighter S’s aggressive lines are set off by a new color schemes of red with red frame or diamond black with racing black frame, both with black wheels. A black radiator cover on all versions completes the Streetfighter's styling updates.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
