EICMA 2010: BMW F 650 GS

This year’s edition of the 2010 EICMA show is bringing moto enthusiasts into a new dimension, as bike producers from all over the world are offering an infinity of creations that cater for any imaginable riding need and even come to create new cross-links between segments. In this piece of news, we will be focusing on the off-roading segment of the two-wheeled world. To be more specific, we will present you the BMW F 650 GS. The bike is powered by a four-stroke, liquid cooled, DOHC, parallel twin engine that has a capacity of 798 cc and uses an electric starter. The unit works together with a six-speed manual transmission. The rider can rely on a front suspension that uses a telescopic fork, as well as on a rear suspension that comes with a twin sided swing arm setup. As for the stopping power, this is provided by front and rear hydraulic disc brakes. The F 650 GS uses aluminum wheels with a 110/80 R19 front tire and a 140/80 R17 rear tire.
